Kathmandu, June 10 — There is a possibility of partly cloudy to rainy weather in various parts of the country today. According to the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, it will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi Province, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, while it is expected to be partly to generally cloudy in the remaining mountainous areas.
The mountainous areas of Madhesh Province, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces will be partly cloudy, while the weather will be mainly clear in most of the Terai regions, the division has stated.
According to the division, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at a few places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces and at one or two places in the remaining mountainous and hilly areas. There is also a possibility of light snowfall in the high mountainous areas.
Similarly, the department has stated that there is a possibility of hot day conditions in some places in the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, including Madhesh Province.
Tonight, it will be generally cloudy in the mountainous regions of the country including Koshi Province, while it is expected to be partly cloudy in the hilly regions and mainly clear in the Terai region. Meteorologists have said that there may be light rain or snowfall with thunder/lightning in a few places in Koshi Province and one or two places in the mountainous-hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali Provinces.
